+ Basic Life With AD&D

North Kansas City Schools provides $40,000 of Basic Life and AD&D coverage to all eligible employees at no cost.  Life insurance provides financial protection to your survivors in the event of your death. Life Insurance includes an Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) component. If your death is the result of an accident, your beneficiary will receive double your insurance amount. AD&D coverage also pays a certain amount if you lose a limb or certain vital functions as a result of an accident.

+ Voluntary Life

Voluntary life insurance is an optional benefit offered by some employers where the employee pays the premium. The premiums, which are based on age and the amount of insurance purchased, may be less expensive than individual life insurance premiums because of an employee group discount.

+ Voluntary AD&D

With Voluntary AD&D coverage, you or your beneficiaries, as applicable, may receive an AD&D insurance benefit in the event of death or dismemberment as a result of a covered accident.

+ Voluntary LTD

Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD) is designed to pay a monthly benefit to you in the event you cannot work because of a covered illness or injury. This benefit replaces a portion of your income, thus helping you to meet your financial commitments in a time of need.

+ Voluntary STD

Short-term disability (STD) Insurance helps protect paychecks and productivity. Our Short-term Disability insurance offers incentives, resources and support, to help employees stay at work and help disabled employees return to work.
